• Can You Hear The Siren! New Design & An Award Nomination

This month sees the release of a brand new design and its one I'm particuarly proud of.

Mermaids have always fasinated me, beautiful creatures luring hapless fishmen onto the rocks with their voice-what's not to love (and lets be honest what a way to go)

My design is drawing on my love for the classic tattoo art beloved by sailors but of course its got a Nicky Rockets sensibility.

The new tee only came out last week and interest has been phenonemal. Its so heartning and I know I say it again and again but your support means everything to us. Designing and hand printing my own tee-shirts is my dream job and you guys make it happen. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my parcel box (protected by the Nicky Rockets gargoyle) full to the brim with orders ready to be posted.

In other news we have been nominated in the best Designer category at the 2016 Plus Size Awards. Its the second year we have been shortlisted and its an absolute honour. You can vote for us here

Hope the summer is treating you well. My little girl has just broken up for her six weeks school holiday so the house is full of Minecraft, Barbie movies and the dulcet tones of Zoella coming out of every room. its a heady brew.

    Take it easy

  • New Designs & Hanging Out With Johnny Cupcakes

    Hey hey Rockatears

Hope July isnt treating you too badly and post Brexit Blues arent kicking your ass too much.

This month team Rockets decided we needed a shot of inspiration so headed off to the Liverpool Business Confernce to attend talks by Google, designer Wayne Hemingway and one of my tee-shirt design heros Johnny Cupcakes. Johnny is an american tee-shirt designer and I have quite a few of his designs over at Chateu Rockets. His talk on running a cool indie brand in a fun but interity filled way was so inspiring.

The confrence was full of cool art, workshops and panel discussions, its fair to say I came away buzzing with ideas.

And buzzing is quite apt as this month we launched our "Bee Vegan" tee. A nod to all our vegan and plant based loving customers.

Printed on climate neutral, fairway tees in water based inks its also part of our ethical line which im super proud of. And keeping teh enviroment in mind this month we are taking part in #plasticfreeJuly and pledging not to use any single use plastic. To this end all your orders will be in brown paper recycled packaging. It actually looks quite snazzy in an arts and crafts sort of way.

Until next time take it easy
